Medieval Metalwerx was built to house a high-tech manufacturing facility that engineers and produces custom race car chassis and sets a new standard in metal manufacturing. This highly specialized space required new construction of a 100’x250’ pre-engineered metal building. The 25,000 SF building consists of 22,600 SF of warehouse space and 2,400 SF of mezzanine containing six offices, storage areas and a conference room.
In addition to the three-inch insulated metal panels used for the sidewalls, this project required very uniquely specialized electrical and air filtration systems to meet manufacturing standards and maximize energy efficiency. APX acted as not only the developer but also general contractor ‒ handling site selection, pre-design, estimating, scheduling, coordination and interior finishes. This complex project required exceptional attention to scheduling and cost management.
